Seed

2002  I collected some rabbitbrush seed from along the road and planted them indoors in the spring. I did not have great germination but some did start. I also planted some outdoors in my big rock garden and none germinated.

Cutting

No experience.

Transplant

2003  Later in the summer, I planted the germinated rabbitbrush into my gardens. Most got eaten almost immediately. I covered the last remaining plant and it lived through the summer. But, the deer moved the cover and the plant was eaten.

Future Plans

2008  I have collected more seed and will try again next year. This time I'll cover the new plants better.
